LevArText
«LevArText» is a publication intended to document and analyze LevArt's content and impact from an artistic/academic perspective.
«LevArText» shall be published in catalogue form, and satisfies the need to expose the knowledge which is being developed through this project along with the various issues that are being raised.
In addition to reinforcing the reflections made concerning art which is put into a social context, the texts will serve as a basis for change in communal practices and a foundation for deeper reflection related to communal art - and cultural work in a society that is constantly undergoing changes.
«LevArText» will represent a documentation of the cultural work in a small town, which is characterized by major differences in the level of participation in the local, cultural scene among various segments of the population. The publication will also serve to position LevArt in an international and Norwegian cultural backdrop.
Jennifer Allen, an art critic and writer at Artforum, will be responsible for content development. |
