En dag i verdensrommet ( A Day in Space)

A project which has toured schools in Levanger and Oslo municipalities. Approximately 1300 pupils aged 7-9 years participated in the project which was offered through Kultursekken in the two municipalities. They have seen three video works by Swedish artist Jessika Thörnqvist, including the films “The Madison”and “The far side of the Moon”. They have had the opportunity to think about instruments used in film and television series they themselves watch, and gained insight into the reasons artists have to use illusions and “tricks” to create their own narrative. Together with the artist, the pupils built their own universe in the classroom, and then were photographed as astronauts floating in space with room for both aliens, space stations and more everyday satellites.
